This site exists for people just like YOU. In doing some research online, I have not come across too much help for Christian Songwriters. Especially for those of us who desire to both develop our skills, AND learn how to share our music with the online world. We live in a day and age where the internet is completely transforming the music business. You have the opportunity to take advantage of this new landscape. You may be one in a million voices out there but it is completely possible to grow an online following without ever playing a single live concert. I hope this site offers resources that will be helpful to you.
Who created this site?
Hi! My name is Ben Chilcote and I am, among other things, a Christian singer/songwriter. Over the past few years, God has been inspiring me to develop my songwriting skills and in the process, has planted an idea in me to start this website. This is a site to share what I’ve learned over the years as a lover of music and to share what I’m learning now about songwriting and building an audience online. I play multiple instruments but spend most my days on my guitar. I work in full time ministry and have been leading worship for my local church congregation since 2004.
As time permits, I will be adding more and more to this site, God willing! This site exists to encourage songwriters and equip them with the awesome free tools that are available online. God has given us an awesome gift in music and He has given some of us the job to use it for His glory and for the benefit of others!
